Hi Nikki,

Yes, we did have the treasure hunt and it was a lot of fun. It was for my daughter’s 9th birthday and she had 12 guests. We had wished to play it outside but the weather did not cooperate so we stayed inside my house and garage area. It worked out fine to be inside.

The kids were so into the tasks. It was really fun for me to think up creative and fun things for them to do at each city. At one city they had to pick a teammate to be wrapped up in a whole roll of toilet paper. We had an obstacle course and I even through in some math problems to figure out.

For the treasure box I was able to find a bulk bag of gold/chocolate coins to mix in with other loot. It was great and I will definitely be using the plan again in the future.

Thanks for your help.

I live in Tampa, FL. So far I am trying to get everything together for Easter Sunday. Right now the last thing I have to do is the treasure map. I will be going out of town on Friday and won’t return till Sunday, so today is my last day to finish. I am doing it for my family, I am the oldest daughter, 23, and every year I do an Easter egg hunt with clues they need to find the next egg. They all love it, from my grandmother, 78, to my youngest sister, 16. I think the one who enjoys it the most is my 30 year old brother. This year I wanted to do something a little different and your treasure hunt is going to turn out great. I know they will all have a great time.

I like your customer service involvement. It really shows you care about your customers.

Thanks

Hi Nikki. I had hoped to get most of the planning done today, but alas, other chores kept us busy today! Well … that and the great weather!

I’m going to work on it over the next 2 days. I have a few different places I am thinking for burying the treasure. There is a corner spot in our backyard where the grass has died, so I thought that might be a good place. Or, in the front garden.

The party is for younger girls. The oldest will be 8; and I have 2 6 year olds playing. I thought I would draw a fairly simple map - that would probably be easier than a clue I think.

My niece, who is 15, really wants to help me plan everything out. We’re going to start tomorrow. I have a gold coloured cake tin that I’m going to use as the ‘treasure box’ - we’re just going to decorate it up a bit more. Once we start the planning, I may have some questions. If I do, I will certainly e-mail you.

I’ll also let you know how it all went. I think it is a GREAT idea and my daughter is very excited about it.

Thanks for writing,

Karen

We have tried out the game for my son’s 6th birthday. It was great! We had three teams of three or four kids and one adult each. I had mixed up the clues and starting points and they all lead to the same end point a pirate treasure trunk filled with lots of treasures! The kid’s had so much fun. Some of them were readers and had fun reading the clues for the rest of the group. The hunt went from inside the house to outside around the yard, gardens, trees, fences, flower pots, wheel barrow, etc. The Instant Treasure Hunt Game was perfect in helping me with this party activity! THANKS!

Nikki,

Your product sounds terrific, but I’m at a loss as to which version to purchase. Our volunteer fire department has an annual Homecoming (fund-raiser) and I’m planning a scavenger hunt. The age range could be 10 to 18. Would the ‘kids’ option be too young if I split the group or would I be able to modify per your examples?

Sincerely,

Hi Bethany

If you are referring to our Treasure Hunt Party Game, I suggest the adult / all ages version would work fine for a group of 10 -18 year olds. We do also have a scavenger hunt product.

There are some differences between our major ebook products: Treasure Hunt and Scavenger Hunt. The Treasure Hunt Party Game is based around six locations, at each location, the teams are required to complete a challenge or puzzle in order to win pieces of a clue. The clue pieces when put together will lead them to the treasure map and then onto the treasure. The Scavenger Hunt game is about collecting items or completing tasks on a list. Teams compete to complete the list, or to earn points in a given timeframe. The game style is your choice.

Best wishes
Nikki

Hi Nikki,
I am working on putting together this treasure hunt. Our party is a family Memorial Day weekend party. It is held lakeside in New Hampshire, USA.

The party is this Sunday afternoon. The age range of the kids playing the game is 4 years to 14 years old. I am trying to make the tasks at each station easy enough for all to be involved. I like the mummy task and think all the kids will have fun with that one. I plan on burying the treasure chest on our beach; I can’t wait for this part the kids should really enjoy it.

Thanks for your help

Hi Nikki. The treasure hunt was a success. The treasure map was a lot of fun to do and really turned out great - we used the tea idea to age it and used a lighter to burn the edges. I’m going to save it as a keepsake for my kids. I would DEFINITELY do this again - I’m thinking of planning one for adults this summer.

Nikki

I am planning my treasure hunt right now. It is taking place in the UK (Glos). The party is on Saturday 25th March. It is for my daughter’s 8th birthday. All the guests are 8 year old girls. No particular theme - just want to do something exiting and different. The planning is going well - quite time consuming but fun to plan and hopefully very worthwhile.

We had a wonderful treasure hunt. The adults and kids both had a great time. It took 40 minutes for them to complete it. Thanks for your interest and I will be making more treasure hunts in the near future.

Hi Nikki,

I did receive my Treasure Hunt Planner. Thank you

We are planning to do the treasure hunt for my son’s 10th birthday party in September. I had found a great site near us, on a small peninsula on Sydney Harbour (Australia). My son and I are pretty excited about the planning and the party. I would be glad to send you some photos after the party.

Thanks again
