Tuesday, October 9th, 2007Dear Nikki,
Yes, we played the Instant Treasure Hunt twice with a group of 10 year olds. They were so smart that they breezed through most of the clues, but they enjoyed it!
Thanks for the fun!

Saturday, September 29th, 2007Hi Nikki
It was a big hit at my son’s 7th Birthday party. It was a pirate themed b-day and I used some of the riddles and I made a treasure map that at each station had gold coins to collect and then ended at a real treasure chest that my son had ask for filled with treasures and gifts for him and his friends….he loved it and they all wanted to play again…..thanks for the help!

Sunday, September 16th, 2007It went great. It was a summer end employee treasure hunt party and at the end the treasure was a chest full of $1 gold coins. Each employee got part of the treasure. I had to modify the clues to make it work at my resort but it went great. The employees loved it. The only thing I would do different would be to number the clues. A couple of groups found a clue that was not the correct one. If I numbered them, they would know that it wasn’t the right clue. However, the team that actually won didn’t skip any clues so that part was kinda funny.

Friday, September 14th, 2007We had a great time with the treasure hunt. Our big birthday party involves my two daughters, now 2 & 6, and their dad. All birthdays within 10 days.
We had about a dozen kids into the treasure hunt - some were a bit too young. Setting up three teams with an adult to lead each one, using the same locations but different clues, it worked out really well. Instead of giving out prizes along the way, we gave them tickets for achieving goals, which were used to get prizes from the treasure chest at the finish. This eliminates the problem of ‘I don’t like this’.
We even had a ‘real’ pirate to hand them out - a friend is a member of a Pirates of the Caribbean ship. The remaining booty in the treasure chest was used for goody bags for the young guests. The kids had a great time and were ready for cake afterwards. Between the bounce house, riding a real horse (we have a friend who brought one), and the treasure hunt the kids were totally worn out.
Then it became Dad’s party, and the adults had a great time also. We did a treasure hunt for dad, and he was completely confused (we meant to do that) and had a great time.
It was wonderful that I was able to set this up with very little effort. By setting it up so that it doesn’t matter if something goes wrong, everyone wins - everyone enjoyed it. I received lots of compliments on how great the party was. I look forward to using this on other occasions, as well as when the kids are just bored.
Thanks for your efforts - which saved me from making them

Sunday, August 12th, 2007We have tried out the game for my son’s 6th birthday. It was great! We had three teams of three or four kids and one adult each. I had mixed up the clues and starting points and they all lead to the same end point — a pirate treasure trunk filled with lots of treasures! The kid’s had so much fun. Some of them were readers and had fun reading the clues for the rest of the group. The hunt went from inside the house to outside around the yard, gardens, trees, fences, flower pots, wheel barrow, etc. The Instant Treasure Hunt Game was perfect in helping me with this party activity!
THANKS!

Wednesday, August 8th, 2007Hi Nikki,
We celebrated our son’s eleventh birthday with a pirate themed party. Well, you can’t have a pirate party without a treasure hunt and we procrastinated a little too long. Your website helped us out tremendously.
We put together a 26 riddle treasure hunt that kept the children engaged and they had a great time searching for the treasure. And your step by step process made it very simple.
Thanks,

Sunday, July 22nd, 2007We did log on and use the instant treasure game. It was very easy to use and the kids loved it! I did it twice once for the kid party and once for the family party. The first time the group was a bit big, next time I will do two teams so they all have a chance to figure out the clues.

Thursday, July 12th, 2007We had a wonderful treasure hunt. The adults and kids both had a great time.
It took 40 minutes for them to complete it.
Thanks for your interest and I will be making more treasure hunts in the near future.

Wednesday, July 11th, 2007Yes, indeed, our Treasure Hunt was successful and fun.
We had about 10 children ages 4 to 14. The event was a neighborhood block party. I broke them into two teams and started them in different spots of the hunt. They only were to pick up the clue for their color team. I’m attaching the list of clues that I used. It seemed hard enough and yet easy enough so as to not frustrate. Both teams found a clue and a puzzle piece put in a plastic bag at each spot. For the puzzle I glued two pages together–one side was a picture of a pirate and the other was the final clue to where the treasure map was hidden. I then cut that into puzzle pieces that I put with each clue. They were to put the picture puzzle of the pirate together then turn it over to read the clue to the treasure map. The final clue or treasure map I typed in several different fonts and printed it large. There were about 10 pages that I taped together and rolled it into a scroll. It took them to their treasure of candy and necklaces and gold chocolate coins. I will attach the final clue/ treasure map as well.
It certainly entertained the children and had them running all over the neighborhood. Both teams completed the hunt

Tuesday, July 3rd, 2007Hi Nikki,
The party for our son turning 9 was a huge hit! Once the boys got warmed up they were running in and out of the house for clues. In order to have everyone feel included we rotated who read the clues. I also emphasized this was a ‘team’ approach. It worked out really well and it was fun to see which riddles stumped them and which ones they figured out with ease.
Thank you, thank you, thank you! It was money very well spent!
Thanks again,

Monday, July 2nd, 2007Hi Nikki,
I have logged on and played around with planning our first treasure hunt.
This one is for our son’s 6th birthday party on Saturday, October 7th. His birthday is actually the 8th but because of other activities, the party is a day early. I’m very excited about the treasure hunt. His party has a pirate theme and this is a perfect game. I was having trouble being very creative with clues for the hunt and while snooping around the internet I found your site and couldn’t wait to try it out. So…I’m off to fine tune the treasure hunt for the kiddos and I’ll let you know how everything turns
out after the party!
Thanks,

Sunday, July 1st, 2007Well Nikki,
I had 6 ’stations’ and adults at each one, and we had a challenge at each station. (eat a donut that was hanging from a limb by a string, blindfolded and after being spun around, answer at least 80% of some tricky questions, get the cherry out of a cream pie without using your hands, 2 stations were Halloween scary where you just had to be brave enough to get your color-coded flag with the next clue attached and get out of there! And the final station where after solving the clue you knew that the next clue was under a chair, only to find out there were A LOT more then just a few chairs to look under!
The party was a great success (or so the kids & their parents say). Some of the kids are already asking for it to be an annual event. If I do the hunt again I will give myself even more planning time and make the teams smaller (I had 8 in each). I also will add some kind of ‘playing field’ map to START with, as some of the teams made it too hard by reading more into the clues and looking too far and wide. The Instant hunt was actually the most helpful, with the planning guide filling in some details. I will say your customer service dept has the world’s fastest response time.
Thanks,

Wednesday, June 27th, 2007Hi Nikki:
Thanks for your response. We had the treasure hunt party on Saturday - huge success! Because I am so very busy I was not able to put the pen to paper until the day before - it was grueling but absolutely terrific.
My 10 year old party girls had an absolute blast!
Thanks very much,

Monday, June 25th, 2007Hi! Nikki!
I will be using the treasure hunt for a neighborhood party and also the magic trick and party games at our camping reunion at the beach in August. You have saved my brain a lot of study and thinking. Thanks again for your help.
I have used your treasure hunt game twice for children 8 and under. They loved it. The clues made them think and the adults assisting them enjoyed the hunt as well. I’m sorry I don’t have pictures but I will use the game again and send you some. It’s a wonderful way to surprise a young guest coming to visit. A great icebreaker. Your games always make me look so clever

Sunday, May 27th, 2007I downloaded everything yesterday and now I just have to hide all the clues in the backyard now. It’s an outside treasure hunt for a 14 year old’s princess party. I’ll let you know how it goes. I’m thinking of adding some scavenger hunt elements to the hunt. Like finding something before solving the next riddle. A few of those riddles are going to be brain stumpers!
I’m thinking the game may take upwards of 2 hours. I did 19 clues!

Friday, May 25th, 2007Nikki,
We have played twice already. My children love the hunts. We planned one for my sons 12th birthday party this weekend. I would be happy to let you know how the ‘BIG’ hunt goes and will try to send a picture.
It was easy getting into your site to make up the hunt and I am so happy with the extra quick and easy game for my family.
Thanks

Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007Hi Nikko
Guess what? I got the treasure hunt to work after all
I was just trying to open it the wrong way. Once I ’saved’ it first and then opened it, everything was fine. I am sorry to have bothered you. My children had a WONDERFUL time on their hunt! I will use this fun activity time and time again

Sunday, May 13th, 2007Hi Nikki,
Thanks for the Treasure Hunt. My son’s 8th birthday party was great. All the kids loved the hunt and the last clue was a treasure map that lead to a buried treasure. They all were running around like crazy. My son still talks about it a week later. He wants to do it again next year.
My daughter is having her 16th birthday in November, I was wondering if I would have access to the site to make a treasure hunt for her party?
Thanks

Friday, May 4th, 2007Hi
We played the child’s pirate treasure hunt game today. We had about 35 kids and I was not sure if we had enough props. Next time I would like our station leaders and myself wear a pirate costume. We made up some of our own tasks due to our situation. Each team got the same prize. We were able to buy some pirate sandwich bags from a pirate shop in town.
Thank you for the basic plan. We had parents accompany the children and it was a great success.

Wednesday, April 25th, 2007Hi Nikki,
This is a follow up and a half !
I have downloaded the pack but haven’t got into it yet, I’ve already planned a treasure hunt, drawn a map, put 9 out 14 clues together myself. This weekend is kick off time in terms of planning. The kids will be in the 5-8 years age bracket and for me having not done this before, pitching the clues and the directions at a level kids of that age will grasp with minimal adult intervention is the challenge. That’s why I took a look on the Net and found your package. So bear with me for now.
The party will be a birthday party for my daughter on 6th August , there’ll be 15 guests in the above age group. Party takes place in a rural town Co Kildare, Ireland. No theme.

Monday, April 16th, 2007Dear Nikki, I can’t tell you what a life saver you are. My Halloween invitations were all sent; advertising a Treasure Hunt and I became ill. I didn’t know how I was ever going to pull it off, but 2 days before the party I logged in and within 1 hour I had edited the clues you provided to fit our surroundings. I then emailed them to my office; printed, cut and separated. Trust me…now that I know how wonderful your made to order ”hunts’ are; we will be having them at every party. The kids and adults had a blast.
Please keep me informed of anything new, especially for adult parties. Thanks again to my new party planning best friend!
