We had our Treasure Hunt game yesterday & had loads of fun…… I had planned this treasure hunt for the baby shower of my sister & we had loads of fun & people really loved it….it was well planned, very simple & easy to use.
I really didn’t have lots of time to sit down & make my own treasure hunt & wasting lot of time in planning the game…..but with this game it made my life easier & the party lovelier…..

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009just wanted to let you know that we had our treasure hunt. it was AWESOME! i did it for my son’s 22nd birthday. we live in las vegas so i planned it to go up the Strip from the MGM Grand and end at, of course, Treasure Island with 14 clues in between. There were 6 people so we just kept it as one group. It took a lot of planning, but it pretty much went off without a hitch. The "treasure" at the end was in a suite at the Treasure Island. I had found a big unfinished treasure chest at a craft store, stained it, and, in the room, filled it with cheap gold and silver bead necklaces i bought at a party store. I then put in the chest 6 glass beer mugs that i had engraved with "Josh’s Treasure Hunt ‘08".
So much fun! Now, my daughter wants to do a scavenger hunt on the Strip. So, I’m now looking for ideas for that!

I do apologize for being so particular but as I make most (all) of my hunts for adults, they love to scrutinize my work. I am notorious for spending months on the perfected treasure hunt…
Your treasure hunt generator/program is really terrific. It makes the head work very simple and organized. With a little one around the house (18 months) it is hard for me to find the time to devote to my treasure hunting hobby as before. Thanks again for this time saving tool.

Your planner is great! On Thursday of this week is the annual picnic for my Quilt Guild. I had been in charge of our picnic for 4 out of the last 6 years and this year, nothing was said about it so I really didn’t think about it. When the Guild asked me what I was going to do for the picnic this year, I was kinda on the spot and didn’t want to say that I wasn’t doing anything, so on a whim I said "we are going to have a pirate theme this year with a treasure hunt", not having one clue how to pull this off. That was in early June.
I started searching for anything that could help me with this. We have a range of ages from mid 20’s to late 60’s and wanted something to accomodate all. I came up with the idea to make up invitations using scrapbooking paper with a map printed on it and rolled it up and put it in an empty glass bottle with a cork. (they went over well!). On the invitation, I put that costumes were optional, and I have a prize for the best dressed. A few have told me they will be in costume. I found wooden treasure chests that I stained and I’m using little ones for the favors and a big one is going to have the prize in it. I found a pattern to make sails to fit on a picnic table in one of my children’s party books, so I made up one of those to put on the food table. So I had somethings started, but had no clue on how to do an actual treasure hunt.
I searched the book stores in my area, and found nothing. I even asked the clerks if they had any idea if there was a book out there that could help me with this. Aparently there are several on scavenger hunts, but nothing for a treasure hunt. I was getting pretty desperate, so I googled it. Your site came up on the third attempt and when I found it, I thought that I hit the jackpot!. I was not wrong. I have read the entire book and have started to make my plans. I will let you know how things go after Thursday.

Tuesday, August 18th, 2009My Adult Easter Egg Treasure Hunt was a HUGE success, thanks in large part to the great clues you wrote! We were a small group of 8 this year with no children, only 1 baby, so I decided to hold a special event for the adults.
What fun! I started with 2 sets of 16 eggs - each one numbered 1-16. One set was hidden; the other was used to hide your clues and placed in a basket. Each person chose an egg and had to find the egg with the matching number using the clue inside. They could then take another egg and try again.
After all 16 eggs were found came the big surprise! Each numbered egg corresponded with a prize. I had some fun gifts and everyone had a ball. I will definitely do it again next year. It’s all my family’s been talking about.
