Planning an adult themed treasure hunt is easy using your imagination, picking your friends brains and sometimes opening up your wallet to play the professionally designed treasure hunts. Adult treasure hunts can be fun at barbecues, block parties, parent association get togethers, church groups, business or some type of city/local government picnic. Adult treasure hunts can also be done alone as we will discuss in the information below.
Reunions are a great time for treasure hunts with togetherness as the theme. The fun games and activities will encourage getting to know family you are not close to.
Create a theme of grand adventure at the Family Reunion Treasure Hunt. Hide "treasure" and plant fun clues to lead your guests to the bounty. Families can play as a team, or give guests a chance to get to know one another by assigning teams. Children and adults can learn about family history and each other while searching for the family "treasure." Use real life family stories (ask other family members for stories before the reunion) for clues. Half the fun is the hunt and the other half is discovering a treasure chest bursting with gold coins and jewels.
Gold foil-covered chocolate coins and inexpensive carnival trinkets make terrific "treasure," or you could actually put amongst the trinkets a real family heirloom for one lucky treasure hunter. When you're not discerning the clever clues to the treasure, celebrate your heritage with flags, singing, story telling and family recipes.
Another fun and very unique treasure hunt is Geocache treasure hunts. Geocaching is an adult game or near adult game of treasure hunting using a GPS device. Using the capabilities of a GPS, participants go out and find treasure hidden literally all over the world. The general concept is that individuals, companies or groups hide caches all around the world and then give out the longitude and latitude of the location on the internet. Hunters then go out with their GPS device and find the treasure. When the cache is located you may find literally anything in them. Log books for you to sign, new gold US dollar coins, discount coupons or some CD’s, DVD’s etc. Don’t forget to throw in some Lotto tickets for a chance at a different kind of treasure. Depending on the kind of treasure you find, you can take something but need to leave something for the others to find. If the Geocacher hiding the treasure has postcards, then by all means take one and mail it to them with details of your hunt and find.
Many business’s and corporation have treasure hunts for their employees. During the treasure hunt you'll actively turn teamwork into results. You will learn new team techniques for reducing errors, increasing production, inspiring innovation and boosting your bottom line. You'll do this while solving incredible, mind-boggling codes and puzzles on the streets of some of America's most intriguing treasure hunt locations.
Treasure hunts are fantastic for new team kick-offs, "virtual team" gatherings at a conference or for an existing team struggling to overcome conflict or style differences. Treasure hunts increase better team communication, break down the barriers between departments and transform your area into living board games. Treasure hunts are the fun, challenging and time efficient way to bust out of the conference room. All the while you are exploring your city or town and its hidden treasures while accomplishing your team building goals.

"Thank you for this excellent product. We had the party on Saturday and it was fantastic. I live in France so had to translate it and we did a Harry Potter theme. For the code, we sent the kids to a computer where they typed in the code and then a PowerPoint presentation sent them to the kitchen for the treasure. It was really brilliant fun and I know we'll be doing it all again soon! Alex Laurie, Eure et Loir France |

"Hi Nikki We had a great Treasure Hunt for my daughter’s 11 year old party. We had five teams and I had two other grown-ups helping me. I did the pea challenge, the balancing on a rope, a general knowledge quiz, the backward clues quiz, a memory game and a beat the buzzer game, some they found more challenging than others. The treasure map I hid inside a balloon and mixed it in with lots of other balloons so they had to pop them all to find the map, I had also hidden the bag of balloons. The treasure map was then found and the hunt for the chest started - it was located up a tree. They all had great fun, the weather stayed dry and the bags of gold coins for the treasure box were appreciated. What a great idea, I shall certainly keep it for using again. Best Wishes."
